Picking and Packaging Specialist for Warehouse

We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Picking and Packing Specialists. This role is an integral part of our operations, ensuring orders are accurately selected, carefully packaged, and prepared for efficient shipping.

Responsibilities:
Use picking lists or digital picking systems to locate and retrieve items from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
Inspect items for quality, accuracy, and condition and verify product codes, quantities, and specifications against order requirements.
Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, using packaging materials, wrapping and labeling techniques to ensure safe transportation and delivery.
Operate packaging machinery, such as tape dispensers, shrink wrap machines, and pallet jacks, following safety guidelines and equipment instructions.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize orders, coordinate picking and packing tasks, and meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the picking and packing area, including removing empty boxes, disposing of packaging materials, and keeping work stations tidy.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols for handling, storing and transporting inventory items and hazardous materials.
Conduct regular inventory checks and periodic counts to resolve discrepancies, identify inventory shortages or excesses, and update inventory records as needed.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks, placing items on pallets, and executing shipping orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the logistics process.
Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors, shipping/receiving teams, and customer service representatives to resolve order discrepancies, address customer inquiries, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required; Additional education or training in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred.
Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment roles within a warehouse or distribution center is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory control processes is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure correct selection, packaging and labeling of orders and to minimize errors and discrepancies.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve common goals.
