Senior Accountant

Roles and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closes.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure integrity of financial reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
Complete monthly reporting and closing package, verify and review balance sheet, variance analysis (acts vs. budget/forecast), conduct and support internal and external audits, ICV audits, prepare and file VAT returns, and contribute to process improvement.

Required candidate profile:

Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience as a President/Senior Accountant in the Construction/Oil & Gas industrial services industry, knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, hands-on ERP experience, advanced MS Excel skills, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Or financial or equivalent
• Advanced proficiency in accounting programs and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skill in analysis and problem solving.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
