Packing Helper

Packers are responsible for cleaning packing materials, loading items into containers, and weighing and labeling items appropriately. They also perform final checks on defective items, ensure all work items reach the loading or inventory area, and maintain detailed records of materials and shipments.

Packing Helper’s Duty:
As one of the final checkpoints between buyer and manufacturer, packers perform several important functions. They must ensure that all items are in proper working order. Any defective items must be disposed of in accordance with company procedures.

Packers place completed products into containers and prepare them for shipping by weighing, labeling, and recording information about each package. Packers must then ensure that the prepared packages arrive at their designated locations, such as loading areas or in stock. Packers must be meticulous in their work. Attention to detail is key.

Packers are responsible for ensuring that items arrive safely at their destinations. They must close each container securely. They must be able to use hand tools, adhesives, padding, and other products to protect the item. Packaging companies must maintain a clean work area and observe all company safety standards.

Responsibilities:
• Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipping or storage.
• Follow all company instructions regarding packaging.
• Identify and dispose of defective items.
• Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools, adhesives, nails, padding, etc.
• Maintain complete records of all materials passing through the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean work area.

Requirements:
• High school diploma/GED.
• Experience in manufacturing or related field preferred.
• Basic shop skills, such as use of hand tools.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.
