We are currently looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Assistant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse by helping to receive, store and distribute merchandise, as well as maintain inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities:
• Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices.
• Unload, unload and inspect merchandise for any damage or defect.
• Record and label stock items received and update stock records accordingly.
• Store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and ease of access.
• Help pick, pack and prepare orders for shipping.
• Perform periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for long periods.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift certification is an added advantage.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and overtime as needed.
