Packing Expert – Furniture Packing

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced packing expert who specializes in furniture packing to join our team. The packing expert will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient packaging of furniture items for storage, transportation and delivery to our customers. If you have an eye for detail, experience with furniture packing techniques, and a passion for quality, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Inspects furniture items for any damages, defects or imperfections before packing, ensuring that only high-quality products are shipped to customers.
Select appropriate packing materials, including boxes, padding, covers and protective coverings, based on the size, shape and fragility of the furniture pieces.
Pack furniture items safely and efficiently, using proper packing techniques to prevent damage during transportation and handling.
Accurately label each packaged item, including product information, destination address and handling instructions, to facilitate inventory management and delivery logistics.
Coordinate with warehouse staff, delivery drivers, and logistics personnel to ensure furniture orders are packed, loaded, and shipped in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing area, including storage racks, packing stations and equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Assist with inventory management tasks, such as inventory replenishment, cycle counting, and record keeping, to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling furniture items, packing materials, and operating packing equipment.
Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service, sales, and logistics, to resolve packaging-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:

Strong knowledge of furniture packing techniques, materials and equipment, with an emphasis on protecting items from damage and ensuring safe transportation.
Excellent attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to identify and address problems or defects in furniture items.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture, as well as stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Flexibility in working shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required by company hours.
Knowledge of health and safety systems, warehouse procedures and inventory management practices.
