Laundry Attendant

We are currently looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laundry Attendant. The Laundry Associate will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and quality of linens, towels and other textiles used throughout the hotel/resort. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for providing exceptional service, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Sorts, washes, dries, folds, and presses linens, towels, and other textiles according to established procedures and standards.
Inspect items for stains, damage, or defects, treat stains and repair minor damage as needed.
Operates commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, irons, and folding machines safely and efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels of linens and supplies, ordering replacements as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room, including keeping equipment and work areas clean and free of clutter.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling chemicals, operating machinery, and lifting heavy loads.
Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and towels to guest rooms and common areas.
Handles guest requests and inquiries regarding laundry services quickly and courteously.
Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.

Requirements:

High attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to identify and address stains, damage and blemishes.
Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads, stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team to achieve common goals.
Flexibility in working shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required by hotel hours.
