Job Description
The Front Desk Assistant provides concierge services to guests to contribute to an exceptional overall experience from check-in to check-out and perform full check-ins as required.
As a Front Desk Host, you will provide concierge services to guests to contribute to an exceptional overall experience from check-in to check-out and perform full check-ins as required. The Front Desk Assistant contributes to our guests’ first impression and is therefore required to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Achieve positive outcomes from guest enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure an efficient guest reception experience including check-in and check-out and performing audit procedures as required.
• Ensure that both the Front Desk Manager and Front Desk Supervisors are kept fully informed of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.
• Attend appropriate training sessions, when required, and assist in the training and development efforts of the Night Crew.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties.
• Increase room occupancy and use upselling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
• Use correct procedures for accepting foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash in accordance with hotel credit policy.
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
• Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front desk equipment and property management systems.
• Follow company brand standards.
• Assist other departments, as needed
