Junior Accountant

Our company is committed to excellence in financial management and business operations. We are currently looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Accountant. This role provides an exciting opportunity for career growth and development in the field of accounting.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports and budgets under the supervision of senior accounting staff.
Accurately and timely recording financial transactions in the company’s accounting software, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Conduct bank reconciliations and verify the accuracy of cash balances and transactions.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, billing, and collections.
Assist in preparing tax returns and compliance files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
Assist in conducting internal audits and reviews to identify discrepancies, errors, or areas for improvement in financial processes and controls.
Assist with payroll processing, including calculating employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records, files and documents for audit and review purposes.
Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned by management.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Previous training or work experience in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP or similar).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and challenging role.
