Roles and responsibilities

Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Department Assistant to join our Delivery Services Department. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating with delivery drivers, resolving their issues, and serving as the primary point of contact for all delivery related matters within the department. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to seamlessly manage inter-departmental coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination with delivery drivers:
Communicate efficiently with delivery drivers to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Implement effective scheduling strategies to optimize delivery routes.
Immediately address any challenges or concerns raised by delivery drivers.
Case decision:
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during the delivery process.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address challenges and ensure smooth operations.
Contact point:
Act as the primary point of contact for all delivery drivers within the department.
Foster a positive and supportive working relationship with drivers to enhance overall team cohesion.
Communication/coordination between departments:
Facilitating communication between the Delivery Services Department and other relevant departments.
Ensure smooth coordination to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
Administrative support:
Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, document preparation, and maintaining records related to deliveries.

 

Required candidate profile:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience: 2-4 years in a similar role within a delivery services company (preferred).
skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal).
Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
