Day Care Staff For Nursery School

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and deal with children in a safe and caring environment, ensuring their well-being and happiness throughout the day.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Promote positive relationships with children, parents and fellow staff through effective communication and collaboration.
• Follow daily routines and schedules to provide consistency and structure to children.
• Assist with meal, snack and nap times, ensuring children receive nutritious meals and adequate rest.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including regularly sanitizing toys, equipment, and surfaces.
• Monitor and document children’s behaviors, interests, and milestones, and communicate with parents and supervisors as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures, including emergency protocols and licensing regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; Coursework or certification in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is preferred but not required.
• Genuine love for children and patient and caring behaviour.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to maintain a positive and supportive attitude in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
• Basic understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or be prepared to obtain it when renting).
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
