Accountant Job Vacancy for Warehouse

Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Operations Accountant. The accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial activities related to warehouse operations, including inventory management, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of accounting related to warehouse operations, including inventory valuation, cost accounting and financial reporting
Monitor inventory levels and reconcile physical inventory counts with system records
Analyze inventory variances and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for warehouse operations
Conduct regular audits of warehouse transactions and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
Collaborate with warehouse management and other departments to develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision making and strategic planning initiatives
Prepare and submit tax returns, government reports, and regulatory filings related to warehouse operations
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for warehouse operations
Stay up to date on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends relevant to warehouse operations

requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA designation is preferred
– At least one year of experience in accounting, with at least one year in a warehouse or inventory focused role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including inventory costing methods and financial analysis techniques
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analyses
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
