Waiter / Waitress for Café

We are looking for a skilled and friendly waiter/waitress to join our team. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service to our patrons while contributing to the overall success and ambiance of our café.

Responsibilities:

Warmly greet customers as they enter the café and seat them according to their preferences.
Present menus to customers and explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
Accurately take customer orders and forward them to kitchen staff immediately.
Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
Check in with customers regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests.
Anticipate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on their preferences.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
Process customer payments using our point of sale system and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, including clearing tables, wiping surfaces, and restocking supplies as needed.
Collaborate with other employees to ensure the smooth operation of the café, including assisting with food preparation, cleanup tasks, and opening and closing duties.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Basic mathematics skills to handle cash transactions and calculate order totals.
– Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette.
Familiarity with coffee and espresso drinks is a plus.
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
