Roles and responsibilities:

Transportation supervisors are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of their company’s vehicle fleet. They ensure that all drivers follow proper safety procedures, adhere to schedules, and deliver goods or passengers in a timely manner.

A transportation supervisor typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
• Coordinate with other departments within the organization, such as Human Resources or HR, to ensure policies are followed
• Review safety procedures in vehicles and equipment to ensure they are operating properly
• Monitor fuel inventories and order supplies as needed to ensure vehicles have enough fuel to operate properly
• Supervising the loading and unloading of goods to ensure that they are handled safely
• Determine the routes and schedules that drivers must follow
• Ensure that drivers follow company policies and procedures, including safety measures and disciplinary actions if necessary
• Allocate new routes to drivers as needed, based on customer requests or other factors that affect demand for services
• Review drivers’ records to ensure they are following safe driving practices and adhering to federal regulations regarding work hours and rest periods taken
• Maintain records of mileage, fuel costs, accident reports, and other relevant information regarding commercial transportation operations

Desired candidate profile:

• Education: General Certificate of Education/Advanced Level
• Essential: You must have a UAE driving license
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of directly related experience
• Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
