School Librarian Job Vacancy

Job Description:

Inspire a love of reading and learning as a school librarian! We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to manage and organize our school library and promote a positive and engaging environment for students.

Responsibilities:

Managing and organizing the school library collection
Helping students and teachers identify and choose books
Promote reading programs and literacy initiatives
Conduct library orientations and educational sessions
Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs
Maintain library records and manage check-out procedures
Evaluate and select new books and resources
Create offers to promote books and reading

Requirements:

Proven experience as a librarian in a school setting
Bachelor’s degree in library science or related field
Knowledge of library and cataloging systems
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Familiarity with educational technology and online resources
A passion for fostering a love of reading and learning
