Restaurant Cashier

Responsibilities:
• Greeting customers when they enter the restaurant in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the point of sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment securely and in accordance with company policies.
• Calculate and issue change accurately.
• Maintain cashier station clean and organized.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide information about menu items, promotions, and restaurant policies.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth flow of operations.
• Assist with setting tables, cleaning dining areas, and other tasks as needed during slow periods.
• Uphold high standards of customer service and hospitality at all times.
• Follow all safety, sanitation and hygiene procedures.

Requirements:
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point of sale systems.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude and passion for providing excellent customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
