Laundry Attendant for Hotel

We are famous for providing exceptional hospitality services to our guests. We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Laundry Attendants. This role is critical in ensuring our guests’ laundry needs are met with efficiency, care, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
Receives dirty linens, towels, and clothing from various hotel departments or external customers.
Sort items according to fabric type, color and washing instructions to prevent damage and maintain quality standards.
Loads and operates commercial washers and dryers, selecting appropriate settings and laundry detergent based on fabric and clothing specifications.
Inspects laundered items for stains, rips, or other defects, treating stains and making minor repairs as needed before folding or hanging clothes.
Fold, stack, and organize clean linens, towels, and clothing according to established standards and inventory levels.
Distribute clean laundry to designated areas within the hotel, ensuring prompt delivery and replenishment of guest room supplies as requested.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the laundry room, including cleaning machines, surfaces, and equipment, and properly disposing of lint and debris.
Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies, such as detergents, fabric softeners, and cleaning agents, and place replenishment orders as needed.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling chemicals, operating machinery, and preventing accidents or injuries in the workplace.
Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by the laundry supervisor or management team.

Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Previous experience in laundry operations, housekeeping, or related field is beneficial but not required; On-the-job training will be provided.
Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironing machines, and folding tables, is beneficial.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and quality control skills to inspect and maintain cleanliness and integrity of laundered items.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
