Kitchen Helper

We are a popular dining destination committed to providing exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. We are currently looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Kitchen Staff. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment and contribute to the preparation of delicious dishes.

Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, seasoning meats, and preparing ingredients according to recipes and cooking standards.
Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking appliances, following proper procedures and instructions.
Collaborate with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen team members to coordinate meal preparation, cooking times, and presentations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sterilizing surfaces, and properly disposing of waste.
Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper food handling, storage and temperature control, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Monitor food inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and rotate inventory to reduce waste and ensure freshness.
Assist in receiving and inspecting shipments of food and kitchen supplies, and verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
Adhere to kitchen procedures and recipes, maintaining consistency in portion sizes, seasonings, and cooking techniques.
Assists with special events, banquets, and catering functions as needed, ensuring food items are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Provide support to kitchen team members during peak periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork to meet customer requirements and maintain service standards.

Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment, culinary training program, or related field is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary terminology, and operation of kitchen equipment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn and passion for food and hospitality.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, based on restaurant hours.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
Food handler certification or desire to obtain certification upon rental.
