Job Vacancy for Laundry Attendant

While we strive to uphold our standards of excellence, we are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Laundry Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:
Receives, sorts, and inspects incoming laundry items for stains, damage, and special instructions
Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and folding machines in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
Loading and unloading laundry machines, ensuring proper loading capacities and use of detergents
Use appropriate cleaning agents and stain removal techniques to treat stained or dirty fabrics
Monitor wash cycles and adjust settings as needed to ensure thorough cleaning and proper drying
Neatly fold, stack and organize clean laundry items for storage or delivery to guest rooms
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area, including vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
Perform routine maintenance tasks on laundry equipment, such as cleaning lint traps and checking for leaks or malfunctions
Maintain an inventory of laundry supplies and report any shortages or replenishment needs to the Laundry Supervisor or Manager
Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or in a related role is preferred but not required
Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment and laundry procedures is an asset
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and commitment to providing high quality laundry services
Physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, lift and carry laundry items and supplies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
