Driver (Domestic)

Responsibilities:

Transport family members safely to and from appointments, errands, school, work and other destinations
Follow designated routes and comply with traffic laws and regulations at all times
Maintains the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned vehicle, including regular washing, cleaning, and scheduled maintenance
Monitor and report any mechanical problems or maintenance needs of the vehicle to the appropriate personnel
Assist in loading and unloading groceries, packages, luggage, and other items as needed
Provides courteous and professional service to family members and guests, including opening doors and assisting with belongings
Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding the personal and professional matters of family members
Adhere to family schedule and adapt to changes in plans or transportation needs as required
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the House Manager or Supervisor

Requirements:

A valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Previous experience as a chauffeur, chauffeur or personal driver is preferred
Knowledge of local traffic laws, roads and navigation systems
Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
Excellent driving skills with an emphasis on safe and defensive driving techniques
Professionalism, punctuality and reliability in all aspects of the role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain composure and adapt to changes in plans or unexpected situations
Respect privacy, confidentiality and discretion in a private home environment
Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed
