Job Description:
We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Lead Cashier. The Lead Cashier will oversee cash handling operations, supervise cashier staff, and ensure excellent customer service at checkout counters. Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of cash registers and checkout areas
Supervise and train cashier staff on proper cash handling procedures, customer service standards and store policies
Assigning tasks and responsibilities to cashier staff and monitoring their performance and productivity
Ensure that cashiers accurately process transactions, handle returns, and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner
Balances cash drawers and reconciles receipts at the end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Handle customer inquiries, complaints and escalations effectively and escalate issues to management as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization at checkout counters and surrounding areas
Monitor stock levels of cash, coins and other payment instruments and request replenishment as needed
Collaborate with the store management team to implement process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction

requirements:
– Previous experience as a cashier or similar retail position, with at least one year in a supervisory role preferred
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in cash handling procedures and basic mathematics skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in dealing with financial transactions
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
High school diploma or equivalent; Additional education or training in retail management is a plus
