Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and design plans for civil engineering projects, including site development, transportation, water resources, and infrastructure.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations and technical assessments to assess project requirements, constraints and risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client specifications.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using CAD software and modeling tools, optimizing designs for function, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Perform structural analysis, calculations and simulations to evaluate the structural integrity, stability and performance of buildings, bridges, roads and other civil infrastructure components.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
• Conduct site inspections, field surveys, and construction supervision to monitor progress, resolve problems, and ensure adherence to design standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainable design principles, green technologies, and resilience measures into project plans and construction practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges and mitigate potential disruptions.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering, and participate in professional development activities and continuing education programs to enhance technical skills and expertise.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification preferred.
• Proven experience in civil engineering design, analysis, and project management, with a strong portfolio of successful projects in diverse sectors.
• Proficiency in CAD software, engineering design tools, and project management software, with the ability to produce accurate drawings, models, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical issues, propose effective solutions, and make sound engineering judgments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards related to civil engineering design and construction.
