Responsibilities:
• Lead culinary operations and menu development, creating innovative, high-quality dishes that reflect our culinary vision and delight our guests.
• Develop and implement seasonal menus, incorporating fresh, locally sourced ingredients and culinary trends to enhance the dining experience.
• Oversee the hiring, training, and development of kitchen staff and promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain food quality and consistency, adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, control costs, optimize ingredient usage and minimize waste to achieve budget goals.
• Collaborate with reception staff to ensure smooth service and effective communication between kitchen and dining areas.
• Stay informed about cooking trends, techniques and ingredients, and constantly explore new flavors and culinary concepts to inspire creativity and innovation.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and professional growth among kitchen team members.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and facilities are properly maintained, conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality venue, with a proven track record of culinary excellence and leadership.
• It is preferable to obtain a culinary degree or equivalent certificate from a recognized culinary institute.
• Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredient sourcing, with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate kitchen staff to deliver exceptional performance.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, with a comprehensive understanding of HACCP principles and kitchen hygiene best practices.
• Creative flair and innovation, with keen attention to detail and dedication to culinary excellence.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required by role requirements.
