Cargo Loader

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable cargo loader to join our dynamic team. As a freight loader, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe loading and unloading of goods to and from various modes of transport, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:
• Safely load and unload cargo to and from trucks, ships and other means of transportation by following established safety procedures.
• Inspect merchandise for damage, ensure proper packaging, and verify shipping documentation is accurate.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts to move and move merchandise within the warehouse or loading area.
• Ensure proper weight distribution and secure cargo using straps, chains and other securing devices to prevent damage during transport.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Coordinate with team members, drivers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely handling and transportation of goods.
• Complete the required papers and documents accurately and quickly.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or problems to the supervisor.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a cargo loader or similar role is preferred.
• Valid forklift certificate.
• Ability to operate different types of loading equipment.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety systems and procedures.
