Barista

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers as they enter
• Presenting beverage menus to customers and answering their questions regarding ingredients
• Receives orders with attention to detail (e.g. coffee blend preferences, dairy and sugar ratios)
• Prepare drinks following recipes
• Providing drinks and prepared foods, such as biscuits, pastries and cakes
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the bar area clean
• Maintain a stock of clean cups and plates
• Check if brewing equipment is working properly and report any maintenance needs
• Compliance with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

Requirements and skills:

• Previous work experience as a barista or waiter/waitress
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
• Knowledge of sewage systems
• Flexibility to work in different shifts
• Basic mathematics skills
• The ability to measure customer preferences
• Excellent communication skills
• high school certificate; Relevant training is a plus
