Banquet Coordinator

Roles and responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of banquet events, including planning, preparation, implementation and follow-up.
• Ensure that all customer needs and expectations are met and exceeded.
• Work closely with the sales team to understand event requirements and customize packages accordingly.
• Collaborate with various internal departments such as cooking, operations and housekeeping to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct site visits and walk-throughs with clients to view the venue and discuss event logistics.
• Supervising the set-up and breakdown of banquet venues, ensuring they are properly arranged and decorated.
• Prepare detailed event orders and job sheets to communicate event details to all relevant parties.
• Manage and coordinate external vendors such as audio-visual, florists, and interior designers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any problems or complaints that may arise during events.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all banquet events, including contracts, invoices, and client correspondence.

Required candidate profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Proven experience in party coordination or event planning.
• Certification in event management or related fields a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a banquet or events role.
• Strong knowledge of banquet operations and industry trends.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
