About the role
Responsible for tracking, improving and protecting the quality of Arabic content for websites, including translating, editing and performing quality checks. Understanding the brand’s tone of voice and the ability to seamlessly translate it to a native audience, whilst being mindful of the differences between our Arabic and English audiences.

What you will do
• Manage the translation of content from English to Arabic across all channels including but not limited to landing pages, website/app content, microsites, emails, and social media to improve customer experience and contribute to conversion, engagement, page view, bounce rate, time on page and click.
• Reinterpret the brand voice for the Arabic audience while maintaining a completely original tone. Ensure your brand tone of voice is accurate, helpful, and consistent across the site.
• Communicate with your online content marketing expert and online content marketing manager about the tone of your text across the site.
• Edit and translate the product page as per internal style guide; check the accuracy of text versus images as well as grammar and spelling. Ensure all copy is clear, concise, and locally translated where appropriate.
• Ensure editorial content across all channels reflects each site’s goals, values, internal style and tone.
• Where possible, verify loading accuracy by checking all click, size, tab and drop-down functions on the product page.
• Support any other required updates to the Arabic website.
• Translate a weekly copy of the email.
• Audit the website to locate missing translations.

Education
• University degree in foreign languages, communication or translation.

Experience
• At least 4 years’ experience as a translator, copywriter or language specialist
• Native Arabic and fluent English speaker.
• Experience working in an e-commerce environment, preferably fashion retail, is a plus.

Skills
• Proven ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to publish and/or translate from English.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office and CMS systems.
• Proven experience in digital translation/subtitling and sub-editing.
• Good knowledge of women’s luxury fashion, seasonal trends, designers and brands, as well as a strong business awareness.
• Experience working in a fast-moving business environment with competitive deadlines and priorities.
• You are self-motivated and take initiative.
