Civil Engineer

We are looking for an experienced civil engineer driven by a wealth of industry knowledge. To ensure success, the ideal candidate must be comfortable dividing their work hours between offices, site visits, and attending board meetings.

A civil engineer must be a critical thinker and have a good understanding of mathematics and physics to identify and solve engineering problems. You must also possess a certain level of creativity to be able to come up with innovative solutions and improvements to technical processes. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate ideas, make recommendations, and negotiate project details with their team, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed designs.
• Conduct feasibility assessments and site inspections.
• Prepare and implement project plans.
• Research and provide estimates for projects.
• Review government regulations and bylaws.
• Monitor and improve safety procedures, production processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Make recommendations or provide alternative solutions to problems.
• Communicate confidently with clients and other professional subcontractors.
• Project management duties (e.g. managing budgets, resources and timelines; obtaining and compiling quotes, etc.).
